Hel
Broadaxe
We named this one after the famous battle axe of King Magnus.
BATTLE
OF HLYRSKOG HEATH.
King Magnus threw off from him his coat of ring-mail, and
had a red silk shirt outside over his clothes, and had in
his hands the battle-axe called Hel, which had belonged to
King Olaf. King Magnus ran on before all his men to the enemy's
army, and instantly hewed down with both hands every man who
came against him. So says Arnor, the earls' skald: --
"His armour on the ground he flung
His broad axe round his head he swung;
And Norway's king strode on in might,
Through ringing swords, to the wild fight.
His broad axe Hel with both hands wielding,
Shields, helms, and skulls before it yielding,
He seemed with Fate the world to share,
And life or death to deal out there."
-- From the Heimskringla
or The Chronicle of the Kings of Norway, Saga of Magnus the
Good

Mimir
Broadaxe
We named this one after the famous smith of Norse legend.
In
the Norwegian epic called Thiğrekssaga,
Mimir was the great smith who was the first master to teach
Velent (Wayland), as well as being the foster father of the
hero Sigurd. Mimir also realised that his foster son was dangerous,
so he conspired to have Sigurd killed. Mimir decided to send
Sigurd into the forest to fetch charcoal for him. In the forest,
lived his brother, Regin, who was now the most feearsome dragon
in the world. Mimir hoped that he would be sending his foster
son to his death. Sigurd set out into the forest, unsuspecting
of any plot. Mimir had provided Sigurd with an axe, as well
as food and wine for nine days.
